Close to your home if you live in the old part of Qingdao.  Boats are launched into the water using a small crane.

Large billboard ad occasionally blocks the wind making it difficult to get out and back in by sail.  A paddle will come handy.

Qingdao Runlong Sailing Club is located adjacent to Zhanqiao Pier so you'll have to navigate the waters with motor boats taking out tourists.
