A teahouse with some great facilities which the owner would like to share with private boat owners and windsurfers.

The owner of this place is offering private boat storage for all the right reasons - to establish a base for regular sailors to enjoy their interest for leisure sailing and to facilitate the social life that evolves around it.  And most importantly, at a very reasonable cost.

While there is access to a great beach for launching your boat, a downside is that you have to pull your boat approx. 100 meters along the Seaside Sightseeing Path to reach the beach.  With helpful staff on hand this is very manageable.

Compared to more easterly located sailing places, it's my experience that there is much less restrictions on private leisure sailing during international sailing events when sailing out from this place.

Windsurfing in Qingdao outside Waterfront Pavilion, Taipingjiao.

The teahouse has been expanded recently (spring 2008), so it now has a very big/expanded second-floor outdoor balcony with an excellent view over the sea.  Probably the most nice place in all of Qingdao to sit outdoor and enjoy a drink while relaxing reading or socializing with friends.

A seafood restaurant is located adjacent to the teahouse.  You can't find a more nice seaside place to have dinner in Qingdao than this place.  No cars to spoil the air with pollutants and noise, just people walking by on the Seaside Sightseeing Path which is winding its way right past the restaurant.
